A Day For A Book Lover

The other day my Lobster told me he wanted to take me somewhere on Sunday (today) as there was an event going on he thought I would like. I am not really one for going out to events, I like to be at home in my safe space surrounded by my things. Then my Lobster tells me that the event he wants to take me to is a book festival called The Word On The Street. Well that changed everything.

So we headed into Toronto….

After a train ride and walk by the CN tower we made it…

The Word On The Streets is Canada’s largest free book festival. How have I never known about this before?  I was so excited to go. There are author readings and book signings, discussions, workshops, activities and exhibits. I was a little overwhelmed with it all but planned out what I wanted to see and glanced at everything else on the way. It was a great experience. I spent a gorgeous sunny day surrounded by one of my favourite things, books. I got to meet a couple authors, bought some books, was given a few free books and was inspired to do some writing. I am looking forward to going again next year.
